Setteponti Trekking Route

The Setteponti Trekking Route

The Setteponti is a trekking route between Reggello and Arezzo in Tuscany.

The 'Via Setteponti' has existed since the Middle Ages, but has even older origins.

Today, the Via is a public road which, although it has light traffic, is not suitable for trekking.

For this reason, the Trekking Route has been designed to follow, where possible, paths that run roughly parallel to the Via.

It is suitable for mountain biking, while road cyclists can follow the Via Setteponti itself.

The total length is about 80km (50 miles).

Usually, walkers do it in three stages, covering the central part of the route, from Cascia to Ponte a Buriano, or vice versa.
